Isle of Man Legislation requires that the owners of vessels registered on the IOM Ship/Yacht Register to either be resident in the Isle of Man or appoint a Representative Person, providing a genuine link between the vessel and its country of registry.
V.Ships (Isle of Man) Limited is an approved Representative Person, we can:
- Act on behalf of the ship owner to register or deregister their vessel.
- Process seafarer’s documentation (including STCW endorsements).
- Liaise with the Ship Registry on problems /issues / technical matters.
- Forward documents between the Ship Registry and owner/manager of the vessel.
- Arrange payment of Ship Registry fees on behalf of the owner.
- Provide advice regarding the Isle of Man flag legislation and requirements.
