The SER team uses the Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) methodology to provide a structured and systematic way for enhancing safety including the protection of life, the health of persons and assets by using risk and cost benefit analysis. In the case of asset owners who operate world-wide and engage with many different legal jurisdictions, formal safety cases are utilised in order that safety management is treated explicitly. SeaTec prepares safety cases that meet the UK HSE and UK Ministry of Defence requirements.
