Under the Marlins brand name, SeaTec (see www.seatec-services.com) offers a comprehensive range of English language training and testing services.
For training, the Marlins portfolio includes: two English for Seafarers Study Packs at elementary and intermediate levels; training for interviewers in English language assessment; and train the trainer courses. Marlins trainers are consultants to IMO and Marlins can develop new training products and courses based on the specific requirements of its customers.
For testing, three tests are provided online: the ISF Marlins Test of English (approved by the UK MCA and the ISF), the Marlins Test of English for Cruiseship staff and Marlins Test of English for Offshore Workers. Marlins also provides interview-based assessments of spoken English and audits a global network of over 100 test sites on behalf of the UK MCA.
